When a relationship breaks down and superannuation balance(s) are to be split under the Family Law Act, obtaining a court order or superannuation agreement is just the start of the process.
In an SMSF, both the trustee and the “recipient” member need to prepare certain documents and do certain things in order to effect the split of the superannuation balance(s) and to comply with the superannuation law.
As part of this service, Heffron prepares the relevant documents (ie various notices required under superannuation law and trustee minutes) in order to formalise the split of the superannuation balance(s).
We charge on a time-cost basis for the documentation at an hourly rate of $605 (incl GST).
