Description
A returned, and no doubt confident, ALP Government is certain to bring Division 296 tax back to Parliament as soon as possible. Afterall, it has budgeted for revenue to start flowing from this tax as early as 2026/27 – something only possible if the original start date of 1 July 2025 remains.
Details
We don’t know at this stage if the legislation will simply be exactly what passed through the House of Representatives in the last Parliament or a modified version. But in the interests of being prepared for anything, our webinar will cover:
- An update on the latest developments
- A refresher on the mechanics of the new tax based on what we know so far
- A recap of who will be impacted and when – in particular, who should be considering action now (before 1 July 2025) and who can afford to hold off
- Highlights for particular client groups (those with legacy pensions or modest assets outside super or still considering contributions)
All registrants are provided access to the on-demand recording and resources via email within 48 hours of the event.
